Marc,

Really enjoyed this, and totally agree in the slow but steady approach. Incremental growth is what I call it. I love this story about a man who hits a boulder with his sledgehammer 99 times, with no result. He could give up, he could imagine nothing is happening. But on the 100th blow, the boulder cracks in half. That's how it is for me sometimes with personal growth. I think I'm making no progress, I'm stuck, but I keep working, and being willing, and trying something new, until at last, something breaks through. Another saying I like is, "When a door closes, somewhere a window opens, but it's hell in the hallway."

Thanks for your insights.

Best,
Linda

Its so true theirs are no shortcuts to victory. We must commit ourselves to the slow, painstaking hard work to meet our success.

Marc -

Totally love this approach to personal investment. Change and improvement take time and effort. Sometimes the rewards are not immediate and others might question your intention and dedication. I know for me, I've been working hard for 18 months to build my inner confidence and ability to deal with emotions. I'm starting to see the difference in my presence and ability to face any situation without fear, yet it will continue to be a lot of practice and failure to get there. Thanks for a great post.

Good thoughts. Now if I could find a way to keep a daily, consistent focus it wouldn't take so long!
