This reminds me of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz who just had to click her shoes to go home again. She always had the potential inside her to do what she wanted, but it was believing in herself that was the key. Others may think you are ready for that black belt, but until you really believe it (and aren’t afraid of the success it means), then you won’t go after it, no matter how hard to train.

You have to step up and take action.

Many of the people I speak to in workshops and seminars will nod and smile during my presentation but will more often than not will not put anything in the action when they leave the room. Because of that fact no success will come their way.

As the late great Jim Rohn said, "Dreams are wonderful, but they are not enough"

Hi Marc,

This reminds me of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz who just had to click her shoes to go home again. She always had the potential inside her to do what she wanted, but it was believing in herself that was the key. Others may think you are ready for that black belt, but until you really believe it (and aren't afraid of the success it means), then you won't go after it, no matter how hard to train.

I really believe that the more we overcome, the stronger our courage muscles become and we are more confident to overtake the next 'scary' step.

Hi Christine, good to see you here. I am glad you found inspiration. There is a whole series of blog posts around "is success meaningful for you" - I think you just gave me the idea I was looking for as a guest post!
